 Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary affairs Narahari Acharya has said that the bill registered bNepali Mediay the government in the parliament on ‘CONTEMPT OF COURT’ was not aimed to limit freedom of speech and freedom of press.

Minister Acharya had REGISTERED the bill, June 9, 2014, in the parliament which if passed provides right for the judges (without being petitioned) to take penal actions against any individual or an organization whom he feels to have obstructed the justice delivery.

 as per the bill publishing falsified documents regarding sub judice cases or materials that may influence a verdict or erode people’s trust in the court or create confusion about the activities of the court shall also be regarded as contempt of court.
